Quick Answers

How do I find trains from my location?+
Click "Use my location" and we will show departures from the nearest station.
Why does the expected time keep changing?+
Expected times are updated in real-time as the railway updates its predictions.
Can I save my favourite routes?+
Yes! Tap the star icon on any departure board to save that route. Saved routes appear as tiles on the home screen for one-tap access.
Is NextTrainTo free to use?+
Yes, NextTrainTo is completely free to use.
Can I link directly to a station or route?+
Yes! Use URLs like nexttrainto.com/london-euston or nexttrainto.com/london-euston/manchester-piccadilly for direct access.
How do I bookmark my commute?+
Save both directions of your commute as favourites (tap the star icon). NextTrainTo will detect the pair and show a "My Commute" banner with one-tap access. You can also install the app to your home screen for instant access.
Why does it say "Upcoming Services" instead of showing live departures?+
This means no trains are currently running on your route (usually overnight). NextTrainTo looks ahead and shows you when the first train departs so you can plan accordingly.
Does the board update automatically?+
Yes, departure boards auto-refresh every 30 seconds. A countdown shows when the next refresh will happen.
Can I get delay notifications?+
Yes! Tap the bell icon on the departure board to enable notifications. You will be alerted when a service changes from on time to delayed or cancelled.
